After obtaining her CFC in 2001, Vanessa worked for 16 years as an optician in a shop. She then wanted to discover another approach to the profession and worked for 3 years for an eyewear designer as an Administrative Assistant for international customers. She joined Swiss Eye in 2020 as Secretary and Medical Coordinator.
